Prayer247365 Model
The model for Prayer247365 is based upon Old
Testament scripture. This pattern (4
components - see below) comes from
Numbers 9:15-23, 10:1-36. In these verses,
we see how the Lord guided the Nation of
Israel while they were wandering in the
desert. This pattern gave
Israel marching form, guidance, and rules of
conduct as they moved through the
wilderness. When we use God’s word and
resources, prayer has the power to undermine
any oppressive schemes that hinders us in
fulfilling God’s Plan. 1 Thessalonians 5:17
is one of many foundation scriptures.
The Prayer247365 model has four major
components and is borrowed from military
ideas. Since we are involved in a spiritual
struggle and warfare, it seems fitting and
appropriate that we use these concepts. The
components are the advance guard, the
bodyguard, the rear guard and the guard
rails. A short explanation of these thoughts
will follow. This model is to be powered by
the Holy Spirit. With this as the power
source, the XYZ ministry will gain spiritual
knowledge and revelation guided by our Lord.
The model will guide through the following
general outline.
·
Provide general parameters of operation, not
specific rules. Rules inhibit creativity and
spontaneity. These quench the creative power
of the Holy Spirit.
·
Being led by the Spirit is more important
than rules but does not override them.
·
Knowledge must be synthesized with
revelation. This enhances our sensitivity to
guidance by the Holy Spirit and requires a
balance between knowledge and revelation.
·
Diversity and creativity must be allowed for
the Spirit to work as God desires. This will
allow different people to worship, pray and
praise God in various ways.
·
To focus on God’s character so that prayer
becomes an instinct, not just a technique.

These Old Testament components for the
Nation of Israel can now be used as a model
for the New Testament Church. This OT
physical application now becomes a means of
NT spiritual direction and operation.

The Pauline
Prayers…
These are verses from the letters that Paul
sent to the churches of Ephesus, Philippi
and Colosse during his imprisonment in
Rome. As we learn, remember that praying
scripture (God’s words) puts you in line
with the will and character of God. These
are great for praying for your kids, spouses
or any loved one. Their names can be
inserted and personalized easily.
