The Pueblo
retreat was a wonderful time! All who
attended shared a beautiful experience.
The actual
location for the retreat was Divide,
Colorado. Divide is located on the western
edge of Pikes Peak at an elevation of 9,200
feet. On Friday, the 20th, we were greeted
with warm and balmy Spring weather. Saturday
morning was sunny and crisp with late
afternoon cloudiness that brought a 3"
blanket of nighttime snow and a reminder of
Winter's chill.
Friday
evening was a time of making friends and
learning the "ropes" of what makes a good
prayer retreat. Pastor Ron shared a message
and how covenant groups worked. Topics and
scriptures were assigned for each group
meeting time. The ministry of Prayer247365
was introduced with some background history
and foundation information. Saturday's
schedule began a time of instruction on what
it means to be intimate with God. The
afternoon session helped the attendees to
deal with "static" interference and
hindrances to one's daily devotional time.
That evening we learned about the power of
"positive" prayer and how we were to use it.
After a late night session of laughter and
sharing, the night settled in as snow began
to fall.
Sunday
morning dawned clear and cold with a bright
new white blanket of fresh powder, a skier's
delight! As the morning session drew to a
close, we discovered that there was a
definite link between light, prayer and
parachutes! (You had to be there to see the
connection!) After the Sunday meal, we
reluctantly packed our gear and said our
goodbyes. All of us were really blessed to
spend a weekend learning how to be closer to
our wonderful Lord and our brothers and
sisters-in-Christ! Our memories and
friendships will continue on for a long
time. Jesus is a blessing to those who make
a special effort to spend time with Him.
Dates for
the Fall Retreat are
September 28, 29 and 30. Friday evening through
Sunday afternoon. Don't miss this special
opportunity for closeness with Jesus, good
friends and a chance to renew the spirit within
you!

Prayer247365 February 23rd, 2007. We are
beginning to get International exposure. David's
Hut prayer ministry located in the Netherlands has
joined us. We are adding them to our prayer
list. They will also be praying for us. They are
looking to add a new prayer house in Merida,
Mexico this fall. We welcome David's Hut prayer
ministry.

Prayer247365 on February 9th, 2007 added
two new ministry partners! Welcome Orphan
Helpers ministry and the vocal group "Quite
Enough."
(Follow links to
websites.)
Our partner ministries all need prayer. Our
request is that you agree to spend at least
one hour per week to pray for one or more of
these ministries. Your prayer time can
consist of a one hour time slot each week or
it can be as simple as ten minutes per day,
six days a week. Let the Lord be your guide
in how you pray and for which ministry you
pray for. Take the challenge and start your
own prayer group! God will bless you for it!
The
prayer guide will list the needs of each
ministry as indicated by the model. If you
are a visionary, pray for the advance guard
items. If you are a hands-on, day-to-day
person, choose the items in the body guard
section. Or, you can pray for the protection
and praises where a ministry has been
successful. Each ministry has its own set of
guidelines and boundaries. Pray that they
can avoid those activities that are
disruptive or cause dissension.
-
the advance
guard – covers the future ministry planning
needs and goals,
-
the body
guard –safeguards the “Now” in daily
operation and activity
-
the rear
guard –protects the ministry success and
expansion,
-
the
guardrails – affirms and defines the
ministry’s scriptural boundaries.
Each
week, we will list new developments as they
happen. Check the site often for breaking
news.
